LAZY HORSE RANCH provides Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) programs offering emotional growth and acedemic learning opportunities for children and adults.
* For youth and teens struggling with emotional and behavioral issues:
EAL is effective by incorporating horses experientially for emotional grown and learning. Participants learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses. Equine Therapy can assist with the following :
* Impulsivity* Poor decision making* Difficulty handling frustration* Argumentative behavior* Difficulty accepting responsibility* For military and other vicitims of PTSD
EAL is showing great promise in dealing with military veterans and their families who deal with nightmares, depression, anger, anxiety and other debilitating effects of PTSD. Horses are used as tools to help victims gain self understanding and emotional growth. Horses mirror and react to the emotions of the client directly and without words. And, they have no ulterior motives.
EAL offers schools a way to address the needs of, and re-engage students in the educational process. EAL is particularly effective with exceptional students, those with learning disabilities and those at risk of dropping out.
